In case you have not been paying, attention, its election time again. Illinois early voting is on the way and the Bob Dold campaign could use your help.
Bob Dold, former 10th District Congressman and now running again to serve is on record working to protect the Chain O’Lakes Region as well as all of the great waters of Illinois.
Bob Dold has been endorsed by the Illinois Boater’s Association for his support of issues concerning the membership of the Ilinois Boater’s Association.
Bob Dold is not just focused on the Chain O’Lakes as one can read here:
The Dold campaign reached out to the Illinois Boater’s Association and I am happy to pass on their email:
Thanks for your continued support and thanks for helping us pass out the “Protect the Chain” postcards. I wanted give you a quick overview of some of our needs for Get Out The Vote and see if you would have any recommendations for potential volunteers: either in the boating community or in your other networks.
Early Voting and Election Day Pollwatching
We will need poll-watchers for Election Day and, ideally, on Early Voting Saturdays. During Early Voting (10/20 to 11/3) we will only poll watchers at the Round Lake Village Hall–the early voting location for Grant and Avon townships. We will need more at the various voting locations on Election Day. Poll-watchers will act as a deterrent and cross off the names of Republican voters who have attended, or pass out literature outside the polls. Following the lunch rush, we are asking pollwatchers to briefly canvass a nearby precinct and follow up with voters who haven’t yet turned out.
Every day from now to Election Day we will be canvassing. These walks will be in the early evening in our targeted precincts and we will be having volunteers walking locally. Through the Bruce Rauner campaign, walkers will be compensated in the 72 hours preceding Election Day. They will get a $75 VISA gift card for each 3-hour shift they walk.
Every day from now to Election Day, we will be calling. We will work four, three-hour shifts from 9am to 9pm (9am to 12pm, 12pm to 3pm, 3pm to 6pm, and 6pm to 9pm). We will be calling from our Fox Lake office (38 E Grand Ave). Through the Bruce Rauner campaign, callers will be compensated with a $25 VISA gift card for each shift they call during the 72 hours preceding election day.
I will be happy to get in touch with those who are interested in getting involved. They can also reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 847-909-1617.
Thanks for your help!
Robert Dold for Congress
Please make sure that you vote and you urge your friends, family, and neighbors to vote. Its an off year election, but the very fate of Illinois is in the balance. Please consider that the current regime wants to rape the collar county tax payer through Senate Bill 16 which will steal the tax dollars being paid by property owners in Lake and McHenry counties and other places around the state and funnel these monies to downstate Illinois and far more disproportionately to the beyond broke city of Chicago.Bruce Rauner, the GOP candidate for Illinois Governor, who was just in Fox Lake on Saturday, is on record not supporting any additional tax increase to include the scheme to rob Peter to pay Paul in SB16. Please consider this as you evaluate the candidates for office.
While the Illinois Boater’s Association is not a partisan group, it appears that not a single Democrat for the Illinois House has bothered to even convey a position on Democratic Senator Terry Link and Democratic State Senator Julie Morrison’s attempt to destroy the Fox Waterway Agency or the other anti-boating bills they have proposed.
Please vote and let your voice be heard. If you have the time, please help Bob Dold or another pro-Illinois Boating candidate for office. Your efforts can make all the difference. Boaters are Voters!
